Birthday Party Frequently Asked Questions

 

When can I have my party?

We have set options for party times:

Saturdays: 2pm and 5pm

Sundays: 11am and 2pm

Please book well in advance to avoid disapointment. Bookings are not considered confirmed until a deposit of $50 has been received.

 

What is the circus workshop structure?

A typical circus workshop structure includes:

  • Game to get everyone moving and warmed up
  • Short stretch
  • Break into smaller groups for the main part of the workshop, ensuring everyone gets a go on all
  • equipment. Activities in this section may include:
    • Trapeze
    • Mini-Tramp
    • Hula Hoops
    • Juggling
  • At the end of the workshop we all come together to make a human pyramid

 

Is there much sitting around?

The workshop is fast paced and split into smaller groups to ensure kids move quickly between activities. When their group gets to the trapeze, kids will have to wait their turn but not for too long!

 

Can children under the age of 4 join in?

We no longer offer parties for kids who are in kinder, however if you have 1 - 3 kinder aged kids attending, they may participate if accompanied by a parent at all times during the workshop. Younger kids are also welcome to watch the workshop from the waiting room. Extra places can be set at the table and lolly bags can be provided for children who don’t join in at a cost of $5 per person.

 

How many circus coaches will there be?

Express CIrcus Parties have one circus coach

Extraordinary Circus Parties have two circus coaches

Out of This World Circus Parties have three circus coaches

 

Is there somewhere for the parents to wait during the party?

Yes, there is a room that looks into the training space. There is a couch and parents are welcome to help themselves to complimentary tea and coffee.

 

Can we take photos of the workshop?

Yes, it’s fine to take photos but it is important you don’t distract the kids. We want to make sure they are safe and having fun, focused on the circus activities. We ask that you designate one adult as the party photographer to join the kids in the training space rather that overwhelming the kids with several adults taking photos.

 

Can we have extra time to eat?

Yes, depending on availability. Extra time in the party room is charged at $150 per half an hour.

 

Can I come and look at the space before I book?

Of course! Please call to make a time to come and visit.

 

What suggestions do you have for bringing food? What should I cook?

Things already portioned up and easy to serve. Fruit skewers, cupcakes, party pies (use our microwave), cut sandwiches

I don’t want to cook the food do you have any suggestions for catering?

Can we add extra participants to our booking?

Yes, the cost for extra particpants to your party package is $30 per child.

 

Can I bring alcohol?

Unfortunately as The Circus Spot is not a licensed venue, alcohol is not permitted under any circumstances.
